    Black Knob in Depth

Launch: A short 15 minute walk up a steep hill will get you to launch which is at 4,220 ft MSL. The launch is grassy and paraglider line friendly. The upper part of the launch is flat with a steadily increasing slope to the edge of a cliff. Launch is 120 feet wide, but the running distance is short before you come to the brush. However, You have plenty of time to abort if needed before you get close to the cliff. Recommendations are for P2/H2 if launch skills are good, and a DHV1-2 wing because of the long 5 to 1 glide. Will get photo soon...
Landing: The LZ is 1.7 miles from launch. Beware of power lines and trees. Will get photo soon...
Emergency landing: There is a bailout LZ 424 feet below and to the right of launch. Beware of power lines and trees. Will get photo soon...
