Tut's in Depth
Tut's Mountain is effectively closed. The LZ has been purchased and is being subdivided. It is
overgrown and dangerous. If you wish to fly here, contact a local pilot for more information

Launch:
|
The launch is steeply sloped grassy area with a concrete launch platform of about two glider widths.
Watch for rotors from the trees to the right of launch when the wind is from the northeast.
Watch out for the large steel eagle just to the left of the launch platform.
The steepest part of the ridge is just to the right of launch and provides the best lift in the
typically weak conditions.

Landing:
|
The LZ is a large field at a close ratio (2 to 1) to the launch. Beware of vicious rotors in the LZ.
Always place all available windsocks in the LZ. If your nice, Tut might even come pick
you up and give you a ride back to the top (5 minutes).
